Fabric Vintage Synth Vol. 1: the new virtual instruments from Air Music Tech and Akai Pro are incredible recreations of iconic synthesizers, combined with the modern touch of Air Music Tech’s effects! These synth plugins are derived from the Fabric engine and capture the DNA of original vintage instruments with character and personality. The oscillators and filters are based on the Fabric engine. They feature expanded polyphony compared to original-era hardware synths, with up to four oscillators/layers per patch, and are designed for modern composers and producers. A diverse arpeggiator with multiple modes offers creative flexibility, and full MPE compatibility ensures expressive performance. Each oscillator set includes extensive waveform selections, while deep factory preset libraries cover a wide range of applications. The engine also incorporates features and effects borrowed from Fabric, Sprite, and Flavor Pro. Bass Workflow 1️⃣ Keep subs centered with Bass Mono. 2️⃣ Add width by blending a parallel chorus-style delay. 3️⃣ Drive the Tape saturation for extra fullness. 4️⃣ Keep the original bass on the left, pan the slightly delayed/saturated copy to the right for a wider, warmer low end. 🎛️ IONA – The legendary Roland SH-101, reimagined by @airmusicplugins & @akai_pro . A faithful virtual recreation of the iconic 80s monosynth, enhanced with modern features for today’s producers. IONA delivers that classic analog warmth with the flexibility of a digital instrument. The oscillator section gives you a saw, square, or both combined, plus a sub-oscillator one or two octaves down and a noise generator for extra grit. You can mix all sources together, modulate the pulse width (PWM), and switch across four octave ranges. The filter (VCF) is a classic 24 dB low-pass with cutoff, resonance, envelope modulation, and LFO control. Choose between triangle, square, or random LFO waveforms to animate your sound. The amplifier (VCA) offers envelope or gate mode, letting you shape the sound’s dynamics. The ADSR envelope controls attack, decay, sustain, and release for punchy hits, smooth pads, or expressive leads. Modulation is at the core of IONA — use the LFO to modulate pitch, filter, or pulse width, and add glide for smooth portamento transitions. The sequencer gives you up to 128 steps, and the arpeggiator includes Up, Down, and Up/Down modes with tempo sync and swing. Fly Tape 2 is essentially a creative colour box, designed to reshape and transform your sounds using a range of powerful tools. It features speed shifting, saturation, reverse playback, warble, lo-fi processing, and a stutter effect, all inspired by vintage tape workflows. 🎛️ Think of it as a colour box packed with retro vibes and glitchy textures: You’ve got speed changes, for new rythme combinaison, tape-style saturation with three flavours, reverse effect to add that lovely texture to your sample and reshape it's vibe, warble to fluctuate the signal's pitch, lo-fi to add some digital grit, and that tasty stutter effect to spice up any loop. 💡 Personally, I love using Fly Tape 2 to reshape my sounds and push them into new, unexpected directions. 🎧 On drums? I slowed them down, flipped the loop in reverse, threw on some stutter ... boom, instant new crunchy rhythm with character. 🎹 On an arpeggio synth? I dialed down the speed, added a bit of warble, cranked some saturation and just like that, the whole vibe changes. 🎧 Comment améliorer ton studio avec un bon traitement acoustique ! 🔹 1. Pourquoi l’acoustique est essentielle: Une mauvaise acoustique peut fausser ton jugement à l’écoute comme à l’enregistrement. Les réflexions parasites, les annulations de phase… ça brouille le son et tes décisions ! 🔹 2. Son direct vs sons réfléchis: Le son va directement de la source à tes oreilles, mais il rebondit aussi partout dans la pièce. Ces réflexions créent des interférences qui dégradent la clarté et l’équilibre sonore. 🔹 3. Absorption = première étape: Des panneaux acoustiques bien placés réduisent les réflexions indésirables. Fabrique-les toi-même avec un cadre en bois, de la laine de roche (ou fibre de verre) + tissu respirant. N’oublie pas les gants 😷 ! 🔹 4. La méthode du miroir 🪞 Place un miroir le long du mur pendant qu’une autre personne est au Sweet Spot. Dès que cette personne voit l’enceinte dedans : c’est une zone de réflexion à traiter avec un panneau ! 🔹 5. Où placer les panneaux ? 🎧 Placer ses enceintes correctement pour une meilleure qualité d’écoute. 🔹 1. Position d’écoute (Sweet Spot) Commence par te placer à environ 38 à 40 % de la longueur de ta pièce, en partant du mur frontal. C’est là où les ondes stationnaires sont les moins destructives. 🔹 2. Triangle équilatéral Tes enceintes et ta tête doivent former un triangle parfaitement symétrique, avec les tweeters à hauteur d’oreilles et légèrement orientés vers toi (≈30° d’angle). 🔹 3. Éviter les réflexions parasites Laisse au moins 50 cm entre les enceintes et les murs latéraux, et 20–30 cm à l’arrière. Trop près d’un mur = basses "artificiellement" boostées. 🔹 4. Centrage dans la pièce Place les enceintes et le bureau au centre du mur avant, pour avoir une répartition stéréo équilibrée à gauche et à droite. 🔹 5. Outils utiles Un rapporteur, un mètre ou un laser t’aideront à mesurer précisément les angles et les distances.
