We recorded these songs with Al Jacob in March 2025 at Warrior Sound. Our friend TJ Childers came down from Richmond to produce and put his magic touch on everything. Matt Tuttle mastered the record and made the songs sound absolutely massive.
The cover art began as a mixed media sculpture by Austin Sheppard and wound up in its final state thanks to our very own Will Goodyear.

Today’s the day! “Blue Sky” dropped at midnight and it is now available online wherever you stream music. This is the first song from the END OF AN ERA EP and it’s an anthemic rock song that’s built on folk sensibilities. The song features group vocals, mandolin, and steel guitar. Lyrically the song focuses on searching for happiness in the midst of sadness.
“Blue Sky” is our first release of 2025 and it’s a b-side from our 2015 BADLANDS record. I’ve always loved playing this tune but it didn’t quite fit at the time. The studio recording features @thegeorgehage (lead vocals, mandolin) and @jtrdanny (lap steel, backing vocals), plus @vallicruz (acoustic guitar, backing vocals), @thechrisleeland (bass, backing vocals), and revolu Francese (drums). Engineered and mixed by @aljacob at Warrior Sound in Chapel Hill, NC.
The single cover art is a cropped version of the upcoming EP cover and was drawn by the amazingly talented @carlos.dearmas .
