In honour of a beautiful tradition [one of discipline and freedom] a few words from me. A return to simplicity. A time where the external world quiets, so the inner world can speak. A season of stillness and intention. Inspired by the month of Ramadan, this project reflects the quiet preparation that defines the season not only the rituals we see, but the transformation we feel. Beyond fasting, Ramadan is a cultural inheritance a rhythm passed down through generations. It shapes homes, gatherings, and the way time itself is experienced. It is where faith and culture intertwine, grounding communities in shared values of patience, gratitude, generosity, and reflection. Being home in Bahrain, making most of its’ generous blue skys, the beige rocks echo the idea of returning to foundations. Just as Ramadan calls us back to our spiritual roots, the landscape reminds us of what is constant, grounded, and enduring. There is humility in its stillness strength in its restraint. “A Journey of Roots, Growth, and Reconnection” I see me in you. Returning to Bahrain, the country where our journey began, is a profoundly nostalgic experience. There’s a warmth that washes over us as we step onto familiar ground—an emotional tie to the places and faces that shaped our early years. It’s a place where our stories began, and yet, as we find ourselves back there, it feels different. London and Manchester became our canvases—spaces where we could explore our identity and fashion without limits. They were places that encouraged us to experiment, to step outside the boundaries of what was once expected, and to connect with a wider range of influences that expanded our perspectives. The freedom we found there gave us the courage to push past the traditional confines of fashion and embrace a more authentic version of ourselves. We grew in ways we never could have anticipated, taking risks with style and expression that we never had the space to do in our home country. But, as we look back at our roots, we see how those experiences, those experiments, are now woven into the fabric of who we are. This shoot is a tribute to the evolution of self—acknowledging that we can still carry a piece of where we came from while embracing who we’ve become. There’s a subtle, quiet power in a realization that we’ve not only brought the world with us but that we can still honor the place that shaped us.This is the story of reconnection, of bringing pieces of the past into the present, while allowing ourselves the freedom to express the full breadth of who we’ve become. A skeleton of printed memories that have stained the walls as the sandwiched layers of brick , cement and paint adapted in a space that evolve with growing out of childhood into adulthood. Breaking away from their sacred spaces. A moody tone to embrace the daunting challenges of acceptance we find in growing up and out of those spaces. Using older textual dress up to mimic how we always want to be older when we are young and younger when we are older. Identity Across Generations. This editorial traces Arab identity across generations, seen through the quiet power of a father and the presence of his son. The father carries the weight and warmth of cultural memory, the gestures, the values, the rhythms of daily life that have shaped who he is. The son moves forward from that same lineage, not in opposition, but in conversation: he folds tradition into his world, layering it with curiosity, creativity, and an immediacy that makes heritage feel lived. Their evolution is subtle, internal and a continuous thread. Where one embodies tradition as responsibility, the other embodies it as presence. Both remain bound by the same roots, nourished by the same language, customs, and understanding of belonging. This is a story of identity in motion. A heritage that breathes, shifts, and grows, proving that what is inherited does not fade -it evolves.
