Intergenerational connection can spark joy and combat loneliness through friendships and community - just like our toddler tea parties with older residents at the BRI. šø
If you would like to support the work that we do with older people, please consider donating to us to spread the magic across the generations. Link in bio.

We did it! šAlive were crowned winners at the UK Dementia Care Awards today.
Celebrating our hoppy work brewing beer in care homes, our Hoppiness Project picked up the prestigious Promoting Health & Wellbeing Award.
With our Lullaby Circle also a finalist for the Intergenerational Award, it was an honour to see our work spotlighted and weāll be sharing the judgesā kind comments soon.
A huge thank you to our wonderful team for bringing projects like this to life, and to Dementia Community and all of the other finalists. Itās a real privilege to be nominated alongside such incredible work.

Next Month, I'm challenging myself to 10,000 steps a day for Alive's Step Into May 2026!š¶āāļøā£ ā£
As a rower, Iām usually pretty active (Iāll be competing in the World Pilot Gig Championships at the start of May too!), but after losing my dog in February, I realised Iād stopped something really important to me - walking. ⣠ā£
So I'm committing to doing 10,000 steps EVERY DAY! Taking part in our charity's biggest-ever fundraising campaign that invites everyone to get moving.⣠ā£
Getting back into regular walking isnāt just about fitness. It helps manage my arthritis, keeps me mobile, and does wonders for my mental health. So this challenge feels like the perfect push to rebuild that habit while supporting a cause that truly matters. ⣠ā£
Alive supports so many older people, helping reduce loneliness and improving wellbeing - but we need funds to keep doing this vital work.⣠ā£
You can find out more about Step Into May and the fun, easy ways to get involved in Alive's bio. ā£
But Iād also love to hear from you:ā£
š What are you doing this May?ā£
š How would you like to get involved?⣠ā£
Whether itās walking, moving, cheering others on, or donating - every bit of support helps.⣠ā£
