On Sat (13 Dec 25), we put on our first theatre production as a lit fuse, The Importance of Being Sachin, in collaboration with @hkshaxtheatregroup The love we’ve received from the audience makes our heart swell & reminds us of the importance of having art as a third space, especially for under-represented and under-appreciated creatives. We are so grateful for everyone involved in this project. Sachin came to life bigger & better than the 3 of us could ever imagine. Meet Navpreet - she’s behind all the fun dance numbers that you’ll see in our production! Dancing & hooting are highly encouraged 🙂‍↕️ Born and raised in Hong Kong, she has been pursuing her passion for dance for the past five years. Starting as a student, she has evolved into a choreographer, performer, and teacher, exploring the many facets of the art form. As a regular dancer in Bhangra and Bollywood hip-hop, she is continually eager to learn and seize new opportunities to broaden her dance journey (just like this play). The Wang Fuk Court incident in Tai Po, Hong Kong’s first No. 5 fire alarm in 17 years has left many migrant workers affected. In support of the affected community, a lit fuse productions will be donating 20% of profits from our upcoming production of “The Importance of Being Sachin” to Bethune House. Meet Wincel - jack of all trades, master of some 🤹🏽‍♀️ She’s our designer & coproducer for our theatrical adaptation of the Oscar Wilde classic “The Importance of Being Earnest” +++ Wincel is a Filipino(-Hongkonger) born & raised in the city. A creative slasher by profession; outside of her day job - she enjoys delving into different artistic projects. After co-founding ‘a lit fuse productions’, she’s excited to bring their first ever theatre production as a group; in collaboration with HKSTG, where she has built most of her theatrical experience (on & off stage) from. +++ She hopes she’s able to bring out the colorful world of Sachin through her designs & we hope to see you there!
