I’ve been waiting for some time to be able to share this post of a little wig I made for the Annabelle puppet featured in the latest film The conjuring Last Rites. I was asked to make two identical wigs for two puppets. I really enjoyed this project as I was given full rein designing the colour and its look using the previous puppet as a guide. The brief I was given was to make her look sweet as well as a bit dark if that makes sense, so i used two colours but added a dark root colour to the fringe area and to the top of the wig which I bled down to give the wig a bit more depth. When Annabelle is lit in her cabinet the darker areas appear black but the lighter colours looks pretty and golden blonde making her look sweet but also adding to her slightly unnerving scary appearance. My partner @fututeif made her body and pretty silk white dress.. Beautifully Sculpted /moulded and painted by Adrian Gettly , mechs by Dan Burnet. Over all I think as a team were all pretty happy with how she turned out and was very proud to take her onset.

House Of The Dragon Season 2 Episode 4 In this episode Daemon’s hallucinations and visions continue and he meets the young Rhaenyra once again in the throne room before beheading her . I’m a little late in posting this project but wanted to share it with you as it’s one of the first characters we worked on and one of my favourites too . Please see @waldomason for further details regarding the full making of this lifelike silicone head of actor Milly Allcock and for other fantastic work featured in The House Of The Dragon season 2. It was a fantastic team effort and my involvement was to hairpunch the hairline and dye the hair up to the correct level of platinum blonde. This was a bit of a challenge but in the photos you will see that the hair I used started off very golden blonde before I set about achieving the correct level of lift . It was a challenge which I really enjoyed . It was a real team effort and we had a beautiful hand knotted wig made by @lady_foxley the eyebrows were beautifully and intricately hair punched by @heather__mcmullen as were the eyelashes by @waldomason . Once all hair work was completed it was over to @rosalia_culora hair team and @staceyhairmakeup did a beautiful job of styling the hair ready for set . The skin tone was carefully matched for the base colour and delicately painted by @nikkiegrimshawfx Please see below the talented team involved in this project. House Of The Dragon Season 2 Ep4 The Red Dragon And The Gold . Not sure if you’ve seen this episode as yet , it kind of spoils things if you haven’t …sorry ! 🙈 but wanted to share this project with you as it’s one of my faves. This is the beheading of Gunthor Darklyn . Please see @waldomason for all info and detailed processes used regarding the full making of this lifelike silicone head. My involvement was to add hair , eyebrows and beard. I used a wig where I removed the inner part and made into a donut shape allowing room for me to hair punch the bald area and create a natural sparseness thru out the back of the head , this was especially important as we were aware that the shot may have been taken from above. I hair punched the front hairline and eyebrows and I added a ready knotted beard and hair punch around this. As you can see from the pics I added hair to the fingers and wrist area for added realism . Once all hair was punched I gave him a little trim up and a bit of styling ready to go onset . Mouldy cheese! House Of The Dragon. Season 2 ep 3. The Burning Mill. Here we see the body of cheese hanging from the gallows in an advanced state of decay. I think you’ll agree It’s quite a harrowing sight. Please see @waldomason for all the details of scanning and creating this life like dummy of actor @mdstobbart . Once the silicone head was poured and seamed, he was beautifully painted by @_samives and I was then able to add the hair and beard . We added a wig piece kindly made by @lady_foxley and I hair punched the front hairline, eyebrows and facial hair. I gave him a hair cut and he was styled and greased down later ready for hanging on set. It was the first time I had ever worked on anything quite to gorey but I soon got used to seeing him in our workshop and on my desk . It was interesting to work on such an interesting piece . House Of The Dragon Season 2 Episode 2 Rhaenyra The Cruel . King Aegon orders all ten rat catchers to be hung from the walls of the Red keep . There were four stuntmen in the fake nooses as well as Mark Stobbart who plays Cheese and our Prosthetics dept were asked to create 5 life like dummy’s to complete the required number of bodies for this scene. This is one of the bodies we made and as there were hardly any established rat catchers some crew members were 3D scanned and used . My involvement was to hair punch the facial hair and eyebrows and I was particularly excited to work on this life like dummy as it was of @jamieiovino who I know well and have worked with on quite a few projects . I thought it was lovely for our dept to have this dummy made of him despite the sad storyline . I really enjoyed hair punching the facial hair and eyebrows as Jamiee has an interesting hair growth pattern and it was quite an involved hair project . I think everyone did an amazing job all round . House Of The Dragon Season 2 Ep1 A Son For A Son *SPOILER AHEAD* At the end of this episode you see Helaena grab her daughter Jaehaera from her bed and run through the Red Keep. I won’t say anymore as to why, you’ll just have to watch it ! As the actress Phia Saban had to run through dimly lit corridors and down flights of stairs at speed there was a danger of tripping and falling so the prosthetics team were asked to make a life like stand in dummy of the child for her to carry. Please see @waldomason for details of the 3D scanning and life cast of the child actor Lulu Barker and for further details regarding the intricate building of this lifelike dummy. My involvement was to hair punch the hairline,eyebrows and eyelashes. Firstly I had to pre lighten the hair to get to the correct shade and lift it close to a white blonde. It was a lovely project to work on but a little tricky as the hair was so light in colour and I was conscious that it needed to be both fine and delicate. The hair line was hair punched in front of a wig and the lashes and brows were added for further detail. These pics were taken before the final styling, the hair was later brushed into a little pony tail. Little throw back to 2021 when I had a lovely little job working with goblins for the Harry Potter tour opening in Tokyo. It was fun to hair punch a variety of eyebrows and hairstyles working from reference pics as these characters are established and my job was to replicate them as closely as possible . The photo was taken as a progress shot and before any styling was completed. This head was beautifully painted by the very talented Samantha Ives. Excited to share some work from an interesting project I recently worked on. @waldomason asked me to hair punch these small silicone pieces which were used in the horrific pulling of the hair out scene in Baby Reindeer for Netflix. Three silicone pieces were made and hair punched and it’s great to see how they were applied and dressed onset. @waldomason thank you for involving me in your part of this project, as always you come up with some really interesting and quirky projects for me to hair punch . 🤩😂Congratulations to hair and makeup designer @fionalobocranston and team for such lovely work! Repost! From @nikkiegrimshawfx a stunt mask of Ethan’s Isadore as Teddy Kumar in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny for all those epic tuk tuk chases. My involvement was to hairpunch the hairline, eyebrows and a little bit of peachfluff above the lip area. We also attached a wig to sit behind the punched hairline and the photos were taken before the final hair cut and styling, this was done at a later point ready for being used onset . The last photo was of me trying on the mask for size . 😂 it was a fun project and I remember it being quite a challenge hair wise due to the shear volume of hair, texture and curl that was needed. I’m always amazed how effective these masks are and love seeing them come together by the talented team . Beautifully sculpted by @waldomason , silicone work and beautifully painted by @nikkiegrimshawfx and hair work by myself. A little thro back to a project I was working on straight after lock down . These little shrunken heads were for the Harry Potter tour for Tokyo. The heads were still in the panting process and not quite finished at this stage. I added some yak hair to give some texture and this was going to be cut and styled a little later.
