We’re super excited to announce our next exhibition: “Digital Mob Football” by photographer and @uobphotography MA student @stan.sauvage ⚽📸
Join us for the PV and step into a powerful exploration of how football has evolved — from its roots as a working-class game into a global spectacle shaped by capital, media, and broadcast culture.
Alongside the exhibition, we’ll be hosting our free collage table — a fun, hands-on space to engage more deeply with artistic practice. It’s all about making connections between artist and audience, and opening up new ways to explore the work.
Come through, get involved, and see the game from a whole new perspective.

Hello everyone! Alina here — recently joining PICNIC as the new Creative Coordinator!
I’m excited to share that PICNIC is now open on Fridays from 11–4🎉☺
In my role, I’ll be welcoming visitors into the library, supporting programme delivery, coordinating activities and communications, co-curating social media, and organising PICNIC’s In-Progress Window Exhibition — all to invite more creatives to connect with and share experiences in a cosy and welcoming community space
by the sea.
Can’t wait to meet you all! ✨
Sharing few photos I took last minutes before closing the gallery space. It was the “200 years of the Dieppe -> Newhaven line” exhibition which is recently opened in Newhaven
Hearing other people’s stories made me think about how everything is interlinked, and I’ve never seen such a personal exhibition before. Crowds of people came to see the archives and other objects related to the Newhaven–Dieppe connection.
Some shared that they had worked serving on the ferries, others spoke about visiting Dieppe for holidays and shared favourite places -the whole generations have such a strong connection to the place.
What I personally found fascinating was the idea of crossing the channel itself — being somewhere between worlds, in a moment of stillness. I’ve never done it myself but Id like to experience this at some point.
Each person visited for personal reason: to remember something connected to the ferry or people who they met on their journey , or to learn more about the history of the place where they live.
I keep asking myself why certain experiences are given to me like this exhibition for example. What do I need to notice, what feelings they bring up and how they changing my vectors. Why would I even appear in such a place?
Also so glad working with Zoë - such an extraordinary Canadian photographer and artist @zlmnt
Seeing the ferry port just outside the window gave me a feeling of freedom too. This experience definitely planted a seed inside me.
