𝒟𝓇𝑜𝓌𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒾𝓃 𝒶 𝒮𝑒𝒶 𝑜𝒻 𝒴𝑜𝓊 will open 5 June, 6–9pm
Maisie Maris is an artist based in Athens, working across sculpture, textiles, and installation. She uses found and organic materials, natural dyes, fabric, clay and metal. Her practice explores interdependence, fragility, repair, embodiment, and the emotional weight carried by materials, landscapes, and coastal environments.
Curated by Mariana Lemos, whose practice focuses on affect, embodiment, feminist methodologies, disability, and access, particularly in relation to lived experience, environment, and forms of collective care.
Lemos previously curated ‘Oceanic Feelings’ at Electro Studios Project Space in 2021. Lemos and Maris have collaborated on several projects, most recently ‘DIG IN’ at Staffordshire St, London, with artist Laura Mallows in 2023.
