Logbook Day 18 - (15th day on board @aranel_catamaran )
Lagoon 51 transfer from Bordeaux to Athens. All the sounds of 684 miles in 104 hours, from Puerto de Benalmádena, Spain (departed at 17:00 local time) to Cagliari, Italy (arrived at 17:00 local time). The few distress along the way included a 4m piece of plastic near Málaga and a floating fridge drifting at sea. We were planning to stop in Garrucha to refill fuel and water before the long leg, but new meteo warnings made us change plans and head straight to Sardinia (Italy). We let family and friends know we wouldn’t have signal for the next few days. The days passed with breathtaking sunrises, moonrises, sunsets, moonsets, dolphins and sea turtles along the way. Captain @alessiocipriani (our MacGyver) kept busy fixing things, including the handset of the wireless radio that had been out of order for days. Meanwhile, we lost the reefing line for the first reef and the lazy jack broke. We were ready to stop in Carloforte if the wind turned against us, but we made it to Cagliari just fine. 👌 #Logbook #DiarioDiBordo
