I am SUPER excited to announce 📣
After completing an inspiring 2-day training, I’m beyond excited (and a little in shock 🙊) to announce that I’m officially joining the @davines_uk education team as an educator for the North!
This isn’t just about teaching with a brand I adore behind the chair, it’s about being part of a company whose mission is Sustainable Beauty 🌍💚.
Davines are a certified B-Corp, which means they don’t just make incredible colour + care, they genuinely care about the planet too — from how they source ingredients to the way they produce.
Since working with Davines for 9 years and being an ambassador salon for the last 5 years , To be part of a family that blends beauty, sustainability and innovation feels like such an honour. 🫶
So here I am… teaching, learning, and spreading the word about shiny hair + a healthier planet. (Because who says you can’t save the world one balayage at a time? 😉)
A huge thank you to the most amazing ladies I shared the experience with 🫶🏻 & to @sinead.gregory.hair & @aliceeducates for the most inspiring 2 days of education 🫶🏻 and @carla_davines_uk for making me take this step (finally 🙌🏻)
Looking forward to what comes next ….

This personal story is every parents nightmare. @aliceeducates and her husband Ian lived a very scary period of time when they thought they may lose their then 5 year old son Leo from a brain tumour. Their love, strength and relentless fight to push to get him treatment even after the initial surgery, took over their entire lives and will forever bind them together forever.
Please watch to the full version on YouTube (link in bio)
Alice you are an incredible woman, wife, mum and business owner and it was an honour to chat to you.
So happy Leo is doing well today and continues to thrive 💖

From time to time I do hair, to keep me in the game. 🤓
On this day it dawned on me just how focused I was, and how much of a better hairdresser I was. I did some of my best work this day, in my entire 18 year career.
And also how un-focused I was when I had a business, to put it bluntly, I was rubbish when I had a team to manage, with other clients to be aware of, and endless distractions that came with being the ‘head honcho’ as it were. 😂 and it took this day to make me see that. Running a business honestly made me fall out of love with doing actual hair, I was going through the motions and giving 50% to everything that I did, and that is just not in my DNA! Not intentionally of course, but that was the result.
I reckon I’m one of the luckiest people on the planet right now with a job I adore, a job that has allowed me to see what lights a fire in me.
To all the salon owners out there, it’s pretty hard right now, I see you, you’re doing amazing, keep going. (If you want to 😉- and if you don’t, that’s ok, I had a lot of shame for a while over chucking in the towel, but sometimes the towel has soaked up too much stuff that it becomes impossible to carry)
Lots of love, Ex salon owner 😉🥰
I love my job. I LOVE my job. I get to see some of my favourite people in the world way more than I used to be able to when I ran my business. It’s enabled me to nurture relationships that mean a lot to me and I live with no regrets, because without my business, I wouldn’t have this job. And without this job, I wouldn’t have met these people that I connect so deeply with.
Thankyou to everyone that has been by my side throughout this enormous life change ❤️❤️❤️
