It’s exciting to let this one out into the world, ‘Faceless Angel’ featuring the vocals of Alia Seror-O’Neill aka @alias.error Late last year a mutual friend of ours @krisbaha mentioned to me the idea of connecting Alia and I as she was moving back to Australia. Being a big fan of Alia’s work, I immediately had 2 tracks in mind that I thought would be the perfect fit as I was working on a new album. Sometimes timing is everything. Alia came down to Naarm in late January, and across two intense days of writing and recording, we managed to capture a wonderful creative synergy. Faceless Angel showcases Alia’s seminal and spellbinding vocals and lyrics and I’m super grateful to Alia for trusting and working with me. Alias Error is a Berlin-based singer, songwriter and DJ working across electronic pop, downtempo and experimental sound. She released the eponymous album a.s.o. in 2023 to widespread critical acclaim, introducing a voice defined by mood, texture and emotional precision. In 2024 she collaborated with RIP Swirl on I Found You Out from Perfectly Blue, her hypnotic vocals moving between restraint and release from elegiac intimacy to moments of euphoric lift. She most recently appeared on JASSS’s Eager Buyers EP, where the track It’s A Hole gestures toward the darker, more cerebral territory she is set to explore. Alongside her releases she hosts a monthly show on Refuge Worldwide, moving fluidly between atmospheric listening and the club environment. Alias Error is currently preparing her first solo record, shaping a language that drifts between ethereal dream-pop and the moodier edges of electronic music.
