Celebrating World Oceans Day today, with the release of Ocean on Nat Geo/ Disney+ worldwide and the start of the UN Ocean Conference. Now, scrolling through behind the scenes photos and remembering how lucky I am to spend my life on the ocean, and how fortunate we all are to have the opportunity we have now, to protect it before itās too late. What a journey this film has been, inspiring, painful, and overall incredibly humbling to see the conversations that itās starting. Worth a watch today! #oceanfilm #worldoceansday
What an epic evening celebrating the premiere of such an important and timely film. Inspiring to see so many people come together to give the ocean a voice. Everyone needs to see this film, and take a few minutes to remember what the ocean gives us, what we take from it, and how that has changed over Attenboroughās 99 years on this planet. Premiering on Nat Geo/Disney+ on June 8th.

Coming May 8th, Ocean with David Attenborough
This was the dream project to work on with an incredible team from around the world that came together to tell the story of tragedy, hope and resilience in our oceans.
Working on this film was a sobering reminder of all that we take for granted and an eye opening look at the possibilities for change that are within reach.
Congrats to the whole gang of talented filmmakers @silverback_films , conservationists, scientists, contributors and everyone else involved in making this very special film happen š

A few weeks late on my annual post, but another great year of truly inspiring work with incredible humans, surfing with good friends (and suki), checking a few new countries off the list, and navigating everything else in between!
Filmed over the course of 2 years, filmmakers Kyle McBurnie and Alex Warham spent long nights on the water searching for signs of life in Californiaās biggest red tide event in decades.
Delirious with lack of sleep, and with their first mate Pollo, a black lab rescued from the streets of Mexico, they discovered feeding events just offshore that would become the single most beautiful thing they had ever seen on the ocean. When trying to locate animals in the darkness, Pollo guided them to the action by barking in the direction of where to film, making him the most important part of the team!
