Chair-ish: Alex Chitty & Norman Teague
Opening Reception: 6pm-7:30pm
Working together for the first time, Chitty and Teague explore material, memory, and spatial dialogue through distinct yet complementary practices. Both Chitty’s sculptural investigations and Teague’s work disrupt perception and gesture toward the poetic in the everyday; drawing on vernacular design, cultural heritage, and the social histories embedded in form. The artists examine the intimacy of the objects we interact with daily.
The exhibition will be on view through April 11, 2026.

Went in for a show, left with a solid friend. 🫂
Initially I mistakenly thought this chair was designed by a woman. In fact, it was a collaborative design by two male designers (Bruce Hannah & Andrew Morrison). I reduced its girth to a sliver. A line. A squeeze. A fraction. A request. Making/taking space.
