Hello, I would love you to come to my @sohotheatre show. It explores the worst year of my life (so far) in which I:
* Lost my Dad (to death, not like in Sainsbury's)
* Broke up with the love of my life (so far)
* Got made redundant from a female-owned start-up (sadly the future is not female)
* Put on four stone in weight (and so had to discover body positivity)
* Made a lil suicide attempt attempt (I'm ok now, but yes, I would be even better if you came to my Soho show)
I've reworked the show a lot since Edinburgh and I now think it's the best thing I've ever written. I'd like you to come along and decide for yourself that I'm wrong.
It's on Wednesday 11th February at 8:30pm and you can get your tickets at the link in my bio and on the Soho Theatre website. X
T/W Earnest, grandiose
Thank you so, so much to every single person who came to my @sohotheatre show yesterday. It's been my absolute favourite thing I've done since starting comedy.
Special shout-out to the friends who've seen several iterations of this WIP including @hajarjwoodland@mostbutnotall@palvstein and @libbyfelicity . Thank you for continuing to show up for me. 💪🏼 Thank you also to those who saw the show for the first time and showed it more love than I could hope for. Special shout-out to the strangers who came all the way from Staines.
Thank you to @anky.damz and Jon, Julia and Eliot for the flowers. 🌸
Thank you to everyone who gave excellent notes or advice which made the Soho show ten times better than it would have been otherwise. Extra special shout-outs to @delythajones@bentarget@elflyons@julesmhaworth@chrisdonovancomedystylings and @rhiannoneshaw . ❤️
I'm really excited to continue working on this show. I'd love to take it to Edinburgh when I can afford it (some time in the next decade).
Thank you for reading this far even if you got secondhand cringe. x
Thanks @britishcomedyguide ! 🥰
Congratulations to Gaj San (@g4js4n ) for winning the Starter award, and to all the other finalists - Chris East, Eva and Hudson, Katy Swainston and Samantha Day. ✨
Thanks also to @big_loosh1@daisyjroberts and @jameswalshcomedy for coming along to support. ❤️
Have had one of the most incredible weeks of my life doing @bryonykimmings ' Autobiographical Theatre Making course. I've been feeling stuck in a rut and burnt out and unsure what to do next and I think the answer is 'making art by the seaside'. I can't recommend it enough, whether you're a stand-up or a theatre maker or something else entirely. Also couldn't have asked for a better group of people to bare my soul to for a week. ❤️
I was able to do this course due to the @aceagrams Developing Your Creative Practice fund. If you're thinking about applying or have any questions about it slide into my DMs. X
Please can we stop objectifying women but if you really have to please do it at my @sohotheatre show on Wednesday 11th February at 8:30pm. Link in bio. X
Join award-winning comedian/feminist edgelord Alex Bertulis-Fernandes for an hour of jokes you may find distressing. Alex will be at @sohotheatre for one night only on Wednesday 11th February at 8:30pm. Tickets for 'May Find Distressing' are available now on the Soho Theatre website.

It's now one week until my @sohotheatre show and I'd really love you to come. ❤️ I've worked so hard on this show and I'm really proud of it (disgusting 🤮). Please come find out if that's justified on Wednesday 11th February at 8:30pm at Soho Theatre. Tickets at the link in my bio or on the Soho Theatre website. x
