This year, Alchemy Experience and Abou Ghaly Motors introduce a London Cab collaboration designed for Tamara Haus, the early 1900s Neo-Renaissance landmark at the heart of Downtown Cairo’s ongoing revival. Tamara Haus, developed in partnership with Al-Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment and operated by Alchemy Experience, is a creative and cultural hub combining design, art, retail, F&B, and hospitality. The cab serves as a practical extension of the project, connecting visitors to Tamara Haus with the same precision and attention to detail reflected in its restored staircases, courtyards, and timber-framed thresholds. The collaboration reflects Tamara Haus’s ethos of preservation through careful calibration. Alchemy Experience is a design and experiential brand known for context-driven architecture, hospitality concepts, lifestyle projects, and immersive experiences that engage all five senses. Alchemy Experience’s interventions ensure the building’s original proportions and ornamented surfaces remain relevant to contemporary Cairo. Abou Ghaly Motors has a long-standing reputation in Egypt for introducing world-class automotive brands and delivering premium customer experiences. Its London Cab service provides purpose-built vehicles, professional drivers, and advanced operational systems to ensure safe, reliable, and seamless mobility. During Cairo Design Week, the London Cab provides access to Tchai’s shaded courtyard, the future hotel suites under development, and the building’s studios, product brands, and cultural programmes. The King’s Feast - [BETWEEN TWO BANKS], the 3rd edition of the celebratory showcase of cultural and culinary heritage. This year’s edition of The King’s Feast, hosted by Cairo Food Week unfolded inside the Grand Egyptian Museum’s Glass Hall, reimagining a banquet worthy of the Pharaohs. Created by Alchemy Experience, the 20-meter feasting table stretched between the East and West banks of the Nile, a symbolic journey through Egypt’s ancient rhythms of life, rebirth, preservation, and abundance. From scent to touch to taste, every detail paid homage to Egypt’s rich agricultural legacy and centuries-old culinary traditions, brought to life through contemporary craft. @SceneHome : At this year’s Cairo Food Week, the third edition of the King’s Feast is curated by Alchemy Experience, which transforms the gathering into a multi-sensory dining experience. “For me, it is about designing beyond taste,” says Karim Mekhtigian, cofounder of Alchemy. “I want to activate scent, touch, sight—even sound. So the feast becomes a memory, not just a meal.” Rather than treating the table as a static centrepiece, the vision is to approach it as a narrative landscape, mapping the Nile’s symbolic role in Egyptian history. “Our purpose is to shine the brightest light on our country and the region’s rich resources, flavors and narratives,” shares Huda El Sherif, founder of Cairo Food Week. “The King’s Feast is one of those impactful stories that celebrates our cultures’ histories.” This year’s theme, ‘Between Two Banks’, takes the Nile as both lifeline and mythological backbone. The river’s path is believed to mirror the sun god Ra’s journey across the sky, rising in the east as life, setting in the west as afterlife. “The Nile was more than a river, it was a source of civilization, connection, creation and community,” adds curator Emy Hussein.
