Tahan Serif offers DEMO fonts for the whole family PLUS a variable font to try out! And this time, there will be 2 Free fonts for you to use: Regular, and Italic!
I'd also like to say that I'm moving forward with a Standard Font License! This allows MSMEs (Micro, Small, Medium companies) to move use Tahan Serif with ease. The only thing they have to watch out for is their Company Size.
A big thank you for those who participated in a closed Beta Program I've held last year. And special thanks to those who provided some feedback. This font got better because of you!
The moves I do here will ripple throughout my library. And that means that my other fonts will be forced to be updated!
Hey, it's happening. Time to wrap this one up.
It's been 5 years since I started Tahan Serif and people have seen different versions of it. From that little cameo in Jo Malinis' talk in Graphika, to the Novice Spotlight hosted in Convenience Coffeehouse! Scroll down at my profile and you'll even see the version that doesn't have the wedge serifs! I can gladly say that we're right at the finish line!

It's been more than 2 years since I've last posted anything! Gotta get used to it again.
Malm is finally up for grabs!
In the spirit of commuting, no one is perfectly ready. So I'm sending this one out to let it walk on its legs.
Malm is inspired by my everyday commute as I traverse around central business districts, walk around parks, major roads, and fantastic detours. It's a humanist sans that I bent to fit with our culture as Filipinos: fun, light-hearted, and brimming with warmth! It's fresh, yet you feel like you've seen it somewhere. It's new, but not really! It's a sans where I compiled every wayfinding sign I've encountered in the metro into one neat package.
As an everyday sans, this should be able to take on challenges whenever it can. For that, I'll also be providing a variable font in case the styles I've chosen weren't up to the task. But of course, I tried my best to make sure that the styles are already good to go!

Seeing your design out in the wild will always feel surreal. Seeing it stand side-by-side with people who you've admired is insane! Honored to have this one chosen for Design Playground!
I want to raise an awareness that design is literally in every corner of our lives. Yes even with mundane things like manholes, fire extinguishers, and road signs. Inspiration can strike at any moment, and at any place. All you gotta do is keep an eye, and open your mind to these things. Who knows, maybe your next big idea is walking right by you!

Aaaaannnd that a wrap with number 9! Glad I could make it this year! The concept's a bit simpler than my previous years but it's better done than perfect!
