Columbus Park, located in Manhattan’s Chinatown, is a lively space where the Chinese community and cultural activities thrive. Bringing artwork outdoors to exhibit and then creating something improvised, inspired by that setting, was my first experience—and it felt refreshing.
My little friends also helped me, and together with Eri-san’s tea—the fragrance, the steam, and the cosmic swirl of chaotic energy—it became a day wrapped in a unique universe.
