My Mother’s Day itinerary: drive, cheer, drive, cheer, repeat. It’s perfect.
I know one day the schedules will slow down and these weekends will be a memory I hold onto tight. So today I’m soaking in every single chaotic, beautiful mile of it.
To my mom, to Dave’s mom, and to every mom out there doing the hardest and most rewarding work there is, happy Mother’s Day. You are everything. This is the hardest thing and the best thing, all at once.
Wyatt and Weston, you made me a momma. Dave, you support me being a momma every day. There is no version of a perfect day that doesn’t include you three. ❤️
DC weekend, here is a quick recap.
An old friend and baby giggles from a new little one I finally got to meet. Dinner at Le Diplomat with atmosphere, food, and service that earned every ounce of its reputation. Ask for Leah. Morning miles along the Mall and Tidal Basin. A stop at my alma mater, GW, to check on the hippo. Georgetown shops I did not need but absolutely needed. Sushi that delivered. Rooftop lunch before heading to Crab Town for the week.
Lots of walks down memory lane. Twenty-five years goes fast. 🖤
Twenty-four hours in Savannah and this city did not miss.
We walked the squares from Forsyth Park to the water, which honestly felt like moving through a painting. Mossy oaks, blooming magnolias, cobblestone, golden light. Every single block prettier than the last.
Lunch at Vic’s on the River with the best crab cakes and tiny, buttery biscuits. The afternoon at Hotel Bardo’s pool, which is every bit as pink and dreamy as it looks.
And dinner at Common Thread to wrap it all up, because if you are going to end a perfect Southern day, you end it with the best Southern table in town.
Savannah, you are exactly how I imagined ✨
Yesterday humbled me.
I finished a Hyrox training WOD that I thought I was ready for. I was not. Not in the way that matters when the clock is running and your body is arguing with your brain about who’s actually in charge.
I finished. But not in the time I wanted. I know. Not every session is a PR. Not every effort gets the result you trained for. Feeling stronger today. Learning that the ones that break you open a little are the ones that build something more important than a faster time. They build the mental muscle you’ll need when it actually counts.
The hard workouts are the ones you race with later. You show up for those and you take the lesson with you.
Posting as a reminder to myself that to finish is to win. I did the work. And I’ll be ready for the next one.
Do you ever walk into a room and just feel completely in your element?
That was me last week at The List, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles' annual celebration of Colorado's leading design professionals. The energy was incredible, and I came home reminded of exactly why I started.
New Substack is live. It's about why celebration is a leadership discipline and why community might be your most underrated business development strategy. Link in bio.
Dreams do come true. @verellenfurniture just opened their Denver showroom and I have never been more excited about something being in our backyard. Last night was the kind of evening that reminds you why this industry is so special… craft that makes you want to slow down and actually look and people who genuinely love what they do. Thank you to @luxemagazine for making the night even more memorable.
A watch stopped me in my tracks in Geneva.
Not because it was flashy. Because it was built in the 1700s, by hand, to keep perfect time for centuries.
That single moment shaped how I saw everything that followed: Geneva, Chamonix, Paris, London. Four cities. Four completely different lessons in what it means to design with intention.
I wrote about it. Link in bio.

On the flight home and my heart is full 🤍
Geneva → Chamonix → Paris → London
“Collect moments, not things.”
There is nothing more important to me than creating memories with my boys. New places. New cultures. New foods.
The best investment? Experiences. Always.
Already dreaming about the next adventure 🖤
London. The final leg of our trip. We hit all the major must-sees and a few extra fun ones along the way.
Early morning runs through Hyde Park. Harrods (the chocolate hall!). The Tower of London and Tower Bridge. @luckycatbygordonramsay for a little @gordongram love - the views and the food were outstanding. Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard. The George for fish and chips (thank you, @nathantrowbridgeart , for the recommendation!). Afternoon tea at The Ritz. A little shopping in Covent Garden.
And then a final walk down memory lane through Kensington, trying to remember all the places I loved when I studied abroad all those years ago.
The Tube is still one of the best ways to get around. So many steps in a day, and worth every single one. Full circle in the best way. What an incredible trip. Heart (and belly!) full.
