CAST REVEAL THREE @akerokoye as Finlay McGowan As for our leading man, Aker Okoye is a dynamic, award-winning Black British actor of African and Caribbean heritage. A recent graduate of the University of Cambridge, Aker began acting at the historic ADC Theatre, performing as Troy Maxson in Fences (2024). On screen, he stars in the Netflix-funded The Cost of Loving (2024), earning a Best Lead nomination at the It Takes a Village Film Awards 2025, whilst his short Benchwarmers (2023) was selected for the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival. In 2025, Aker filmed his first feature, joined the National Youth Theatre, and won the Kodak/NAHEMI Award twice. He now takes on the role of Finlay in Gross Domestic Product, drawn to its darkly comic critique of how economic systems devalue human life.Photo by @paul_the_ashley
