Well, here we are! #lastdayofhighschool school. My grief that it went so fast is only exceeded by my mad love for this amazing kid and the luckiness I feel to be her mama. For those who have followed along: first day of kindergarten and last day of high school, plus a collection of all 13 first and last days! A project that I kept to over 13 years, through being away on contracts, a pandemic, one year having to take the last day photo in the middle of June because I was out of town and we forgot, a lot of teenage eye rolling, and as you can see by this morning’s wet hair—running late! March has been mad in best way possible, Exhibit #1, 32 hour trip from Theater of the Mind Chicago rehearsals to see @weezwilson16 sing at @carnegiehall . @ben.b.wilson.1 and my mom met me there from Boulder, @wilsonad555 and Charlie and Eli from St. Louis, @mimi.wilson.908 and @quentinwilson496 down from Maine, @sewsew555 from Maryland, and Emily Wilson and @lynnmaryw from the city! It was a huge love fest for our girl, and Carnegie Hall is just an exquisite place to listen to choral music. Plus: my first time at @themuseumofmodernart (mind blown) and strolling through @centralparknyc . A perfect day.

18. I am committed to being in the moment that I’m in, not always wishing for another time. But holy shit that went fast. The good news is @weezwilson16 is an excellent kid and will be an excellent adult and make the world better. And so we will cheer her on as she flies away! But Weez know adult or no, you are always our baby and we are here for you no matter what. We love you and are so dang proud of who you are. Thanks for choosing us, and for making me your mama.
