My grandmother used to sing the scripture Psalm 61:2 around the house, From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

I didn’t realize it then as kid but now as an adult I realize Grandma was showing me that faithful people still experience anxiety, fear and exhaustion and discouragement and this verse speaks to the honesty you can have with God about your limits.

.
It’s a reminder that when we feel overwhelmed or don’t have the strength to handle the pressure of life - we can say “God take me to a place of security and stability only you can provide”.
