I hid a few radio mics in the car but really wanted to get the extra coverage of the boom for the shot. I started outside the car but quickly found myself in the middle of the shot when the car moved off so I ended up in the car! It was really fun to do and it definitely challenged my ability to hide microphones and myself.

Fragile Trust💔
At the end of the summer I joined the crew of a short film called Fragile Trust. It turned out to be one of the most challenging but rewarding shorts I have worked on.
From early starts to late nights and kit trouble, my skills and quick thinking were tested! Although it was a bit stressful, I couldn’t have asked for a better sound partner @f1nn.roberts@rafael_c_henriques the DOP, you were so amazing to work with and I hope we get to again someday!!
As well, the actors, Damien and Billy. You guys were so amazing and thank you for being so kind! And @19jaimee98 you were a pleasure to work with 💜
Thank you so much Julia for all the amazing photos! You’ve made me look so cool!
The crew made filming such a breeze and Bob our director made sure we were all on the same page and well fed and watered!😂

👌That One Man Week 2🎉
Such an amazing week! It was so nice to meet all of the actors and get back into the swing of things again.
I learnt so much this week and really feel like I was able to step into my role!

🤩Production Futures: On Tour😱
I had such an amazing time at @productionfutures this Monday! The stadium was jam packed with brilliant stalls and I’ve definitely found a few more sound avenues to explore!
@dbssolutions me and @bennibeepboop had the best time searching for all the dinos around the venue! Thank you so much for gifting us some at the end of the day!!
Had a really lovely conversation with the guys @the_asdp . Sound design for musicals and theatres is definitely a pathway I’d love to explore!!!
@riedelcommunications it was super interesting to learn about your devices and that noise cancelling was insane!!
Definitely gonna keep my eye out for more events! It’s super nice to meet new people, learn about new technologies and about other parts of the industry!

Such a wonderful set to be on and a beautiful day for it too!
I learnt a lot but definitely need to keep working on my boom positioning as I have noticed my back arm’s a bit low and sometimes I was a bit too far from the actor. But we learn and improve, people!!🥳

🚘What a Car Crash💥
For our final project on CFW at @344audio we recreated a scene from “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” and I got to become a Car Crash!!
If you’d have told me at the beginning of the week I’d have been doing that, I would never have believed you!

🕺Adrenaline shoot! 👩🎤
I had a blast on set recording sound and even the lav mics cooperated with me!! (I know, I almost cried with joy when they synced first time😂!)
Also it was my FIRST TIME recording live music😱!! It was so fun and is even listenable🥳! Thanks so much @millie154__ for the help setting up Mics and @bamesjagshaw and @laupopmusic for helping me make sure I had my session set up right!

👟Learning how to run and stumble🏃♀️➡️
Practicing for our final project for CWF redoing foley for a scene from “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald!
I don’t run anyway so trying to sound like I’m moving while running on the spot broke my brain for a bit!😂 I kind of got there in the end thanks to @peteburgis instruction but I need to keep practicing to get better!
Stumbling is also pretty hard🤯. Trying to get the movement and direction into your performance was a challenge at first but by the end I was getting the hang of it!
When I was performing with the amazing @foley_bylu it definitely made me step up my game and her feedback was super helpful!

👣Learning how to walk barefoot!🦶
It’s harder than you think! Before this I didn’t know how much you can actually control your foot🤯, especially the downward plop of the ball of your foot!
@peteburgis instruction really helped and while my brain explode a bit sometimes, because it was like my feet don’t do that😂, they did do it!!!
