“Shark Mug: Behind the Scenes ☕️

A little process action on how I decorate a shark mug… each section is applied using different color glazes through a fine needle point applicator. After drying, all of the glazes are very pale & pastel. The mugs are then fired in the kiln to over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit; melting the glazes and transforming them into vibrant glossy colors.

These mugs were from my latest collection release, and I am currently back in the studio making more mugs for the next round! Thank you to everyone who shared their input on my recent post for which designs they would like to see next! This helps me to better understand which to make more of, plus I am feeling super inspired by some of the new ideas y’all had! 🥰 💭

The applicator I am using here is an airpen color dispenser. It uses compressed air to dispense the liquid, allowing for greater control and pain-free hands.
