The last month has been a total dream! I took part in the NEF Animation's residency in the Abbey of Fontevraud to develop my new short Members Only. It's so sad to be going home in a few days but I will always remember it as one of the most inspiring, enriching and magical experiences of my life. This film is super close to my heart and while we're still a very tiny team, I'm over the moon I got to share a week of the residency with @joseph_stevenson_ whose music has completely transformed the project and gotten me all the more excited to keep pushing it forward. Thank you @nefanimation and @fontevraud for the unforgettable experience, and to all the amazing filmmakers here - I feel we really became a little creative family who supported and inspired each other the whole way through! Super grateful also to @apa_cba and RIA, where I first started delving into the project last spring, and @saqanima_ge and the Black Sea Animation Workshop where I got the opportunity to come here. A big thank you also to @good_to_be_here , @compotecollective and @nfc.bg for the support with the residency!

Introducing… 🥦 🥦 Last year, Lina directed and animated this silly fake commercial about how Tenderstem broccoli is all-around better than regular broccoli for a screening of Edem Wornoo’s amazing 2024 short That Door. @_edemm Lina used real broccoli with plasticine for their bodies and spent 2 hours sculpting the perfect plasticine butt of the tenderstem which has one second of screen time and it was very worth it. Lina’s NFTS grad film Other Half (2021) is an odyssey about dating and self-love with aliens and fantastical landscapes. A mix of multiplane and stop-motion, semi-flat plasticine puppets painted with oil paints and lots of practical effects. Starting 2025 with really exciting news! In November I took part in the Black Sea Animation Workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia with my new film Members Only. It was such an incredible and inspiring experience already, and today I found out that from the pitching session at the end of the workshop I've won the @nefanimation month-long residency in Fontevraud, France to develop the project further! I'm so excited for this amazing opportunity and so thankful to @saqanima_ge for making it possible, to @corinne.destombes and @oliviercatherin for being the best mentors, @good_to_be_here @compotecollective for the support and encouragement and to all the other participants who made it such a wonderful event! Also super grateful to @apa_cba and RIA International Animation Residency in Cordoba, Argentina which I attended in March 2024 for the early development of the film! Hope to be able to share a lot more on how this project progresses soon!
