The first photo I saw of her, she had an actual Alien strapped to her face! 🙈😱so I’m happy to have gotten a photo with so much expression and presence.
She reached out to me to shoot some new headshots for her, and I absolutely had to get a little creative at the end with this wonderful gem of a human!!

From @_lahandrew ridiculously hilarious idea, to @aileenwu_ and @thechristianlagasse assembling the Avengers of Vancouver’s independent filmmaking scene, to all of us averaging 2 hours of sleep just to cross the finish line — this film was truly my magnum opus 🌟
For the first time in a long time, I felt the focus shift from trying to make something that proved me as an “artistic filmmaker.” Instead I was making a movie that made me laugh. A movie I could rewatch whenever I needed a shot of joy and comfort. A movie that reminded us why we fell in love with films in the first place.
There were so many incredible stories whole creating this film. So many generous and talented people came together to make our childhood dream come true. I hope I get to share all these stories with you very soon.

The incredible Aileen Wu. She made waves with her role in Alien: Romulus — her debut leap into the iconic sci-fi horror franchise. Aileen says her theatre training helped out a ton on the set of the Fede Alvarez-directed film. “Fede was doing it all practically,” she says. “Everything was super intense, story-wise, from a horror/action point of view.”
