A mother and her child share such a bond that God could give you the world and it still won’t fill that space left behind by her passing. You don’t get over it or fix it …you just experience a metamorphosis into an entirely different being. While I wish my mother had the chance to see me get married and to see my siblings success expand , I am also glad that I had the chance to do so much with her . I was my mother’s travel buddy for the better part of the last decade . I learned a lot from her. But I never learned how to live without her. That part I navigate daily still feeling new to it. You don’t notice how much of a role in being a man your mother plays . You just automatically attribute that to the father…however that’s not fair. I have come to understand that my unshakable confidence and faith in myself came from my mother being here . I believed her words . I believed when I she told me she prayed for my protection. I believed her when she said I was strong . I believed in HER believing in ME. It’s been the most up and down 2 years of my life . But even in death she still teaches me a lot . Never will there be another Egbal Abbas Bashir Nasr . RIP Mama 🤲🏿

I been going to hillside deli for 30 years! Shot part of my first video there , then @realcoleworld shot some there and @Bas too. This is also the Deli where Bas managed to escape too when them shots rang out in his younger days . There was inevitable feeling of pride seeing it highlighted like this with lines around the block to come see my brother @realcoleworld . He signed CDs and Vinyls but more importantly spoke to the individuals one by one (until it got too hectic but still accommodates the crowds on his way out ). Hunger on Hillside fr fr ! S/o my Yemenis for holding us down for so long ! S/o Dreamville … they might have to give @kingofqueenz25 his name on the chicken Philly low key . Beautiful day in Queens! The best place on earth!
