I recently picked up a @pmi_gear #smokeninjapro a new @sonyalpha 100mm Macro G-Master, some @vflatworld backdrops and a couple @nanlite_global tube lights to start doing some food and product test shoots.
As I lean more about this style of shooting, I think I’m going to really enjoy working with inanimate objects.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of DJing alongside a very talented young band @wetbanditsnj . And even though I wasn’t contracted to photograph them, I did take my camera out for one of their sets, and here is the results!

Might f*ck around and put together a gallery show by the end of the year. I’m focused on creating art that people want to hang on their walls. And everything I release will be my original photos or using my photos for mixed media prints. I look forward to you allowing me the opportunity to adorn your walls with pretty pictures of people, places, and things from my perspective.
I truly love having the freedom to print any of my images at home whenever I want. Too many amazing images are in digital prison and never see the light of day. Photography and art is meant to live in more than a digital world.

One of these things is not like the other…
SPOILER ALERT: I’m the thing that’s not like the others here. I say that because pictured here is 3 of the best wedding photographers in the world (@josevilla , @antpagephoto , @oliveto ) and me. The fact that I was even in this room with truly some of the best working photographers in the world and a top-shelf open bar to boot, was worth traveling to @wppievents in Vegas alone. Thank you Mario and & Ant for convincing me to go, and thank you to Jose for extending the personal invite. This picture now hangs on my wall and will never be forgotten.

I hate being in front of the camera.
But every now and then a talented friend reminds you why photographers do what they do.
Last night at a cigar lounge inside @4queenshotelandcasino , @oliveto of @marioolivetophotography quietly snapped this while I was mid-cigar.
And somehow… he made me look cooler than I actually am.
That’s the magic of a great photographer.
They show you the version of yourself the world already sees and your insecurities try to hide.

I sat in on a posing talk with @jerryghionis today at the @nikonusa booth on the final day of @wppievents , and it was easily one of the most valuable 30 minutes of the week.
The entire talk was packed with posing techniques that were immediately actionable — the kind of information you can walk away and use in your very next shoot.
Jerry also has a level of stage presence and charisma that keeps the room locked in the whole time.
Bonus: he complimented my hair, so I may be slightly biased.
Looking forward to diving into his book and exploring more of his courses.
On my second day of my first @wppievents attended a photo walk with @jthorpephoto and @tamronamericas . During this photo walk I got to meet and shoot with the very talented and beautiful @emibarsouna . I decided to shoot her with my 14mm because I had a feeling nobody else on the photo walk was going to shoot her this wide and I wanted my shots to be different. I achieved my goal.
I also snapped a few BTS shots of @jthorpephoto demonstrating lighting techniques with her.
