made a little trip to Uchipuli, Tamil Nadu for @imran_deen and zukrina’s wedding. a small village by the sea, the wind strong, the food INSANE - everyday felt like a big warm hug with their chai and their banana leaf rice. we spent the last day running around in a mall @ trichy to buy kain and honestly.. would do it again

Tunggu, the track describes the feeling of leaving the door open and the lights on.
Misplaced Affection was inspired by the term called ‘sliding door moment’, where one thing- if done differently, can change the entire course of your life.

there is some sort of intimacy in sharing a craft. i keep thinking about how this record, no matter the outcome (whether people love it or not, whether it will sell, whether it will take us places etc), it immortalized our collective effort in creating something together - and that in itself is priceless. invaluable. we’ve been together for so long (it even outlasted my relationships!) and finally we have something to show for it.
having a record is probably not a big deal to others but it is a big deal to me and i am so glad i got to do this with you guys - it still feels surreal now that i finally have something to my name.
so, thank you for sticking with me, for doing this with me for the past 8 years or so. thank you for believing in me, for believing in us enough to keep going, for believing in the love we share for our art. for embracing my idiosyncrasies. thank you for putting in your time, your money, your head space in this shared universe of ours. your belief keeps me going! your belief makes \me\ believe in my writing, makes me want to keep living a life worth writing about.
maybe you have no idea how much you have impacted my life, but i hope you know now, that you have - so much in a way i can’t imagine a life without doing all this with you @asiff_noh@nanizul_@omar.muzaffar

The past year had been turbulent yet magical and we’re so happy we got to do this and finally share this labour of love with you. We learnt so much about birthing an album and about ourselves, and we’re thankful to be here now.
