Sadie, originally on a deadline, was welcomed into foster by a wonderful family! Her first week in the home has been all about getting comfortable in her new space — and she’s definitely loving the upgrade from a small kennel! 🙌🏻
Per her fosters, Sadie is fitting in beautifully. She’s house trained, incredibly affectionate and absolutely loves spending time out in the yard! ☀️
Sadie is friendly with people, may do well with kids and other dogs, and she’s already spayed! We can’t wait for you to meet this sweet girl!

Bottle baby kittens need you! 🍼
‼️ AHS is urgently looking for fosters for multiple litters of orphaned neonatal kittens. These tiny babies have no mother to care for them and without foster homes, their chances of survival drop drastically.
Fostering bottle babies may sound intimidating, but it’s truly one of the most rewarding things you can do! Bottle baby fosters provide formula feedings every few hours, help keep kittens warm, clean and comfortable, and monitor them as they grow stronger each day. Our team provides supplies, guidance and support along the way!
Most bottle baby kittens need temporary care for just a few weeks until they are old enough to eat on their own or move into adoption placement. Even one spare bathroom or quiet room can save lives!

Gingersnap is a favorite at doggy day care!
Gingersnap is spending some time at daycare with @houndstown_fairfield while her foster is away and she is loving every minute of it! She’s already becoming a favorite amongst staff and is doing so well socializing and playing with the other dogs! Gingersnap is SO dog friendly and would be a great companion for a lonely single dog!
Gingersnap is only 2 years old, spayed, house trained, extremely friendly with people, dog friendly and a candidate for a home with kids! She would love to find her forever home!

Senior Cherokee needs a lifeline! 🛟 🆘
10 year old Cherokee is a ray of sunshine, but unfortunately a grey cloud has cast over her life. Multiple masses with concerning biopsy results containing malignant cells mean one thing for poor Cherokee: her time is running out. 😢
In an overcrowded and stressful shelter, senior dogs like Cherokee are so often overlooked without a second glance. But Cherokee is still full of love, warmth and gentle companionship. She deserves more than spending her remaining time in a kennel.
Cherokee urgently needs rescue placement to help her leave the shelter behind and spend her days surrounded by comfort, peace and kindness. Please help us give this sweet senior girl the soft landing she deserves. 🤍

Yesterday, the Paws & Anchor team got together to help @ahsnewark with Sammey and Maple. The effort was led by Tori, who did an absolutely incredible job getting these two back on their way to their best selves.
Throughout the day, our team fell in love with these two, and we've been told they're going to their new forever homes soon. That said, the @ahscares facilities throughout the state have plenty more pets ready for adoption! We encourage you to adopt, foster, and donate if you're able.

We all thought Waffle was home forever… 😔
But he’s unfortunately back at the shelter. This isn’t the news we wanted to share, it’s breaking our hearts, but unfortunately Waffle is back at the shelter searching for a family.
He’s a very good and sweet boy, near and dear to our hearts. Only 3 years old and this silly, happy, sweet boy has suffered so much heart break. We’re hoping there’s a family out there to put together the pieces again. 💔

This 5-year-old boy was surrendered when his family faced homelessness. 😢 At 85 lbs, he’s a big sweetheart with an even bigger personality. Reggie loves people, treats, and soaking up all the attention he can get. 🤩
❤️ He previously lived with kids (5 & 9) and was reported to do well with other dogs, so he may be a great fit for a similar home!
