We are here to humbly present our record, Cyanotype. Our time as creeping charlie served us well; we covered ground, we permeated and flowered, and loved every minute of it. We’ve had growing pains as this record morphed over the past two years—but the songs felt like us in their conception and they feel like us now.
A vision of a giant omnipotent rabbit named Agnes came to me (Julia) on a hike through The Alps and I knew she was part of us. Agnes Uncaged is releasing her as we enter a new era of uninhibited creation. Cyanotype, our sophomore LP, is a blue impression of white hot moments in youth and early adulthood.
Philosophy Test out October 24th
Cyanotype out January 23rd
Going bravely forward.

One of my favourite interviews I’ve ever done. Had a very meaningful and timely conversation with Julia from Agnes Uncaged about living in Minneapolis and the band’s latest project. Go and give it a read now, you won’t regret it.
Minneapolis indie band Agnes Uncaged’s new single “Philosophy Test” is inspired by lead vocalist/guitarist Julia Eubanks’ experience as a straight-A student who failed a true-or-false philosophy exam. The lyrics especially reflect America’s current political climate — drawing attention to the dangers of objective truth.
Agnes Uncaged headline 7th Street Entry @firstavenue on Saturday, Jan. 31, celebrating their new album “Cyanotype.” Ticket sales will benefit the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.
Hear “Philosophy Test” and more great local music Sunday nights at 7pm on The Local Show.
Cyanotype is out!
It’s surreal to release this when our home is under occupation. I wrote a lot of this record about feeling like it’s the end of the world, and how these human moments bleed through. Nearly all the imagery on this record, and moments that inspired it, took place Minneapolis. I hope Cyanotype offers you some relatability and some escapism through pretty and gritty guitar crushing songs.
Thank you to everyone involved in this record. Every single one of you shaped this.
We are so excited to celebrate Cyanotype at 7th street entry with the community that raised us. Being an artist in Minnesota is marching past the venue you are playing a few days later. Gramma and Anything You Want are opening. All ticket sales are going to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, and we are being matched by Abbvie Inc.
