Weight of the Earth Two tables shaped by opposing forces. Designed by Rotterdam based furniture designer Maria Tyakina and developed by Agglomerati. Part of Geologies of Memory, on show now at Melbourne Art Fair, a collection that brings together Tyakina’s independent works into a cohesive narrative exploring accumulative surface tension, both metaphorical and physical, as a negotiation of balance, pressure, and restraint. Rooted in an ongoing dialogue with the human body and its capacity to hold and release, this series of stone tables becomes a vehicle through which each work carries weight both functionally and conceptually. Thank you to @est_living for the feature on @agglomerati ahead of the @melbourneartfair Presented as part of @futureobjekt , BOI co-founder Sam Henley’s studio @agglomerati unveils new work created with Rotterdam-based designer @mariatyakina . A a collection shaped by memory, material and the quiet tension of stone. Working with restrained forms and locally sourced materials, the pieces explore pressure, surface and accumulation, sitting somewhere between sculpture and furniture. The presentation continues Agglomerati’s commitment to material-led practice and collectible design grounded in process, collaboration and place. Discover the collection with us this week at Melbourne Art Fair.

Agglomerati × Maria Tyakina | The Past That Made Them (TPTMT) Developed collaboratively by @mariatyakina and Sam Henley, Co-Founder of BOI and founder of @agglomerati . The work is realised using Breccia Medicea dell’Acquasanta, sourced from a small, family-owned quarry on the edge of Pietrasanta. This one-off piece explores the material’s potential, tracing a journey from geological force to contemporary form. The design feeds into Geologies of Memory, a wider collection by Maria Tyakina, curated and developed by Agglomerati, which will be presented this February 19th to 22nd at @futureobjekt for the @melbourneartfair . Stone becomes a carrier of emotion; pressure, tension, and endurance held in structure. What appears stable contains movement beneath, echoing how memory settles, shifts, and resurfaces over time.

INTRODUCING | Agglomerati x Maria Tyakina We’re thrilled to welcome @agglomerati (London) in collaboration with @mariatyakina to the FUTUREOBJEKT lineup. Presenting a new collection of stone tables currently in production for the fair, 𝘎𝘦𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘺 approaches form as something accumulated rather than imposed; shaped through pressure, time, and the negotiation of opposing forces. Designed by Maria Tyakina and developed by Agglomerati, the collection explores memory as layered and lived - experiences compressing, settling, and resurfacing over time. Stone becomes a model for memory, its permanence shaped by geological time and tectonic pressure, reflecting endurance and restraint beyond the human scale. Founded by Melbourne-born, London-based curator and designer Sam Henley, Agglomerati explores the role of stone in contemporary design, bringing together an international network of designers and master fabricators to develop sculptural collections grounded in material intelligence and architectural thinking. Surfaced: Amphisbaena 🐍 Sho Ota x Agglomerati x Bianco67 A birds-eye look at the 5 metre travertine bench transforms Vatican-bound offcuts into something both ancient and immediate. Named after the mythic two-headed serpent, it embodies duality, reflection, and time folding in on itself. An ambitious evolution of Sho Ota’s Surfaced series - rooted in boro, the Japanese tradition of layered mending, its flaws aren’t corrected but composed. A one-of-a-kind monument to what remains. Introducing SPOILA, a collaboration between @thisisfragmenta , @agglomerati , and @pierrecastignola . Presenting at NOMAD Abu Dhabi 2025. Derived from the Latin for “spoils,” Spolia refers to fragments stripped from one context and repurposed in another. This project embraces that idea literally and poetically. Working with salvaged stone mantels from Beirut’s Najem Stone Group, the collection reimagines these architectural remnants into functional objects. Each form carries the weight of its past while embracing a new sculptural logic. Castignola’s fragment-based methodology meets Agglomerati’s material-led philosophy in a body of work that quietly provokes blurring the line between salvage and sculpture, memory and utility. Excited to be part of AGAINST NATURE, the debut showcase from @bureau.of.innovation , staged during PAD / Frieze London at a private Mayfair residence. In parallel, LINDON & CO curate artworks that echo the same decadent spirit. Named after Joris-Karl Huysmans’ novel À Rebours, the exhibition explores themes of sensory indulgence, symbolic décor, and aesthetic excess, bringing together designers and artists whose work reflects material richness and conceptual depth. Founder Holly Lucas joins forces with lifelong friend-turned-business partner Sam Henley to take BOI into its next chapter, merging worlds of hospitality, storytelling, and collectible design to build a gallery that creates new ways to connect with objects. With BOI’s background in crafting cultural hospitality experiences and Sam’s expertise as founder of stone studio @agglomerati , BOI now spans collectible and timeless design through a multi-layered curatorial lens. We launch with AGAINST NATURE, our inaugural curation debuting during Frieze and PAD London set within an intimate private residence in Mayfair. This marks the beginning of our global journey, with our international launch following this November at Downtown Design Dubai, as part of Editions. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
