Food styling, food photography, and product photography for @temindia_ — and honestly, this one was pure joy. 🍵 Three layers in a single cup. Matcha on top, milk in the middle, mango at the base. As a food and product photography studio, the brief with layered drinks is always the same — protect the layers, trust the product, and build everything around it rather than on top of it. The matcha powder in the foreground, the ceramic vase softly blurred in the background, the sage green surface — every prop, every styling decision, every frame was made to let this drink own the shot. we played with different shades of green on this one. the deep moody backdrop, the soft sage tray, the bright vivid matcha in the cup and that little bowl of powder on the side. all green but none of them the same and that layering is what gave the frame so much depth. the pink flowers were the contrast that tied it all together and softened the whole thing just enough. green was always the answer for this one. coffee and green just have this thing, earthy, natural, warm. the dark cup sat so perfectly against it, added the wood tray, a few beans, the carafe and it was exactly what we had in mind. love when a shoot goes exactly the way you planned it. There’s a version of this where the oil dripped too fast, the sand kept shifting and nothing was sitting right. and then somehow it all came together. the way the light wrapped around the glass, pulled out the warmth in the honey and made the sand feel almost golden was something else. we kept the camera slow and close, unhurried, letting every texture take its time. The brief said clean and minimal. So we let the sand do the heavy lifting. The teal against all that white, the bottle settled in like it grew there, a minimal use of petals because sometimes one element is all it takes to make a set feel alive. We’re used to working with subjects that have an expiry date. This one was refreshingly patient. Same obsession though.
