✒️ Samuel Lee (b. 1992) is a writer who lives and works in Singapore. Trained in art history and literature at the National University of Singapore, Yale University, and the University of Chicago, his debut collection A Field Guide to Supermarkets in Singapore (2016) was developed under the inaugural Manuscript Bootcamp and later published by Math Paper Press. The collection went on to win the 2018 Singapore Literature Prize (Poetry in English), making him one of the youngest recipients of the award. 𝘼 𝙁𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙚 reads like a recovered document, charting a city through its spaces and the lived experiences that shape them and are shaped in return.
