Evidence-based care during high-risk transitions is critical.π
Because of research, we know that people living with schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders face elevated suicide rates, particularly in the weeks and months after psychiatric hospitalization.
Despite this vulnerability, these individuals are often excluded from suicide prevention research, leaving major gaps in evidence-based care during high-risk transitions.
With AFSP's support, Dr. Brandon Gaudiano piloted an adapted version of the Coping Long Term with Active Suicide Program for people with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders.

In today's episode, host Vic Armstrong speaks with @sahajkohli β therapist, author, and founder of @browngirltherapy about how to manage your mental health without familial support, and how therapists can be more culturally responsive toward their clients.
