APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION IS NOW OPEN.
Afropolis 2026 gathers under one word: SANCTUARY.
In a time of noise, speed, and endless performance, we’re gathering to build SANCTUARY—a shared room for artists, thinkers, scene-makers, dancers, musicians, DJs, writers, designers, filmmakers, photographers, researchers, and culture workers to meet, study, make, and move together.
Six days of performances, labs, workshops, conversations, listening sessions, and night gatherings—rooted in Lagos, open to Africa and its elsewhere.
If you’ve been searching for your people, come.
If you’ve been building alone, come.
If your practice has been asking for a wider room, come, let us make sanctuary together.

I'm still trying to digest the whole experience of @afropolis_ 2026.
The Sanctuary was more than just a gathering of creatives; it was more intimate with the conversations each day. Seeing the writers in the same space talking about dance and getting to witness the dancers with the writers in the same sections was an amazing experience.
And guess what, the new date for @afropolis_ 2027 is out: 20-29 March 2027
Big shout out to @qudusonikeku@hajarat.alli_@qdancecompany@jrandlecentre for holding it down

The Cavemen live at Afropolis 🎶
The stage came alive with rhythm, soul, and pure musical energy as The Cavemen delivered a performance that had the entire crowd locked in. From the first note to the last, it was a beautiful blend of sound, culture, and connection.
The audience felt every beat, every lyric—singing, moving, and fully present in the moment.
This is what Afropolis feels like.

TERRAPOLIS
A world unfolding on stage—where movement, sound, and presence merge into something deeply human and otherworldly at the same time.
Terrapolis is not just a performance, it’s an experience—one that pulls you into its rhythm, its tension, and its quiet moments of reflection.
Every body, every gesture, every transition carries meaning—inviting the audience to feel, question, and connect beyond the surface.
This is where art meets atmosphere.

AFROPOLIS G.A.V.E 🔥
The energy in the room was undeniable—the audience was fully present, locked into every moment, every exchange.
The judges had a tough time selecting winners across rounds because the level was incredibly tight. And when it came down to ties, the audience stepped in—voices loud, energy high, screaming their lungs out to decide who moves forward.
This was more than a competition—it was a true vibez exchange. Raw, electric, and unforgettable.
And at the end of it all, Crystal & Si’on emerged as the winners, taking home the ₦1,000,000 prize. 🏆
A night to remember.
