As we celebrate our first anniversary at the J. Randle Centre, this video offers a glimpse into what Year Zero looked like—a meticulous journey from vision to impact.
In just 12 months, we’ve:
• Welcomed over 350,000 visitors
• Generated close to ₦500 million in revenue
• Hosted hundreds of unforgettable cultural moments
• Positioned Lagos as a beacon of Yorùbá heritage and a creative nerve center for Africa
As we step into our next chapter, we’re calling on stakeholders, funders, partners, thinkers, doers, and visionaries—let’s build the future together.
Special thanks to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government for their unwavering commitment to culture and heritage.
The journey continues. 🚀

AFROPOLIS G.A.V.E 🔥
The energy in the room was undeniable—the audience was fully present, locked into every moment, every exchange.
The judges had a tough time selecting winners across rounds because the level was incredibly tight. And when it came down to ties, the audience stepped in—voices loud, energy high, screaming their lungs out to decide who moves forward.
This was more than a competition—it was a true vibez exchange. Raw, electric, and unforgettable.
And at the end of it all, Crystal & Si’on emerged as the winners, taking home the ₦1,000,000 prize. 🏆
A night to remember.

An evening of memory, legacy, and Lagos history.
We were honoured to host a special screening celebrating the life and work of Steve Rhodes at the J. Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture and History, alongside his family, friends, and distinguished guests including Wole Soyinka.
Prior to the documentary screening, guests viewed a collection of priceless photographs capturing a different era of Lagos through Uncle Steve’s lens — preserving moments that continue to shape our collective memory and cultural history.
A lot of young artists were present with the willingness to create and learn.
With experienced facilitators guiding every session, it was such a beautiful space to learn, connect, and just enjoy the process of drawing together.
A huge shoutout to @geminiartsgallery Gemini Art Gallery for putting this together and partnering with us to make it happen
