This film shifts away from traditional high-fidelity images and embraces the painterly distortion of the datamosh. In a time of constant digital noise and sensory overload, the work treats glitch not as an error but as a visual language.
The goal of the project was to connect West African cultural memory with the realities of the post-digital age, using a balance between control and technical failure. By allowing the image to break, smear, and collapse, the film reveals the underlying structure of digital media while transforming it into a tactile, cultural experience.

Weāre watching the West African landscape literally being rewritten. These ships arenāt just bringing cargo.. theyāre bringing a new operating system for the continent.
As an artist, my work sits inside that tension, the Mask vs the Helmet. Culture versus machinery. Identity versus survival. A people standing in a history they didnāt write, but now have to own.
This isnāt just ādevelopment.ā Itās integration. Itās pressure. Itās opportunity and loss at the same time. Weāre climbing higher and taking on new tools, while still chasing what should have always been ours.

Treating memory as data and the tech as a tool for preservation.
Stress testing the new #sora2 capabilities against organic memory recall. Iām leveraging generative outputs to reconstruct the specific cultural touchpoints of my upbringing in Guinea. Weāre looking at a complete paradigm shift in how we approach digital heritage preservation. The objective here was to align algorithmic interpretation with the actual texture of home. The fidelity on these assets is high.
