New retail location unlocked!! 🗝️ I'm so excited to share that I have a space with @junkymonkeync and I couldn't be more proud. 🥹🤓 This space is a little different from everything else I've done. I'm finally able to bring in other local comics, more of which are coming soon, 🤓 and the space will allow me to sell things I create and things I loved and wish to part with. 📚 I even decided to share a little with @geekade_evan 🤣 for once. You'll be able to buy: - local comics - my prints - my journals and sketchbooks - my tote bags - prints and art by other artists we love - gently used books - items from our personal collection (toys, posters, etc.) - more coming soon! I'd say the battle jacket was a success. 😌 I cannot express how much joy I experienced at the encore Launch Party getting to talk to people about what they loved, the patches they created, and what made them support @encoreilm I love this town. These people. This nonprofit. You all made this night one I never want to forget. Pair that with incredible friends, dedicated volunteers, badass music by @themidatlantic band (sorry I didn't get to film you, but it sounded so good from where I was working!), and the vibes at @theeaglesdare and it was one hell of an experience. 🤘

🙃I don't know if this is crazy, but I created an interactive art piece for the community to make a battle jacket! I'm going to be at the encore Launch Party tomorrow night at The Eagle's Dare, and I'd love to see you there! Will you come create with me? 🗓 Date: April 30, 2026 ⌚Time: 7-10pm 📍Location: The Eagle's Dare 🌟100% of proceeds will support encore and their future publications. 🫶Fun fact: Battle jackets & vests were first adapted from WWII Army Air Corps flight jackets, then to motorcycle groups, and eventually, to punks and metalheads of the 1970's and 80's. For punks, battle jackets are typically adorned with patches reflecting the interests or subculture of the wearer, especially when related to bands. As part of the encore movement, we're decorating our own battle jackets to show people more of what we love and care about!

I only managed to get one photo yesterday, but it's one I cherish. What a great event! Despite the rain trying to ruin our fun, there was a great turnout and outstanding attire. I'd say it was my favorite kind of weird. See y'all at the next one! Thank you @hiwirebrewing_wilm for being such wonderful hosts and to @citygypsyboutique for creating such a fun show. I know it's hard when the weather works against us, but we still had the best time!

Current WIP pieces for Make Wilmington Weird Ren Fest tomorrow! Having a hand injury has stalled a lot of creation, but these hurt less and I'm having so much fun! I know it's not my usual but I hope you enjoy them anyway. 🥰🦈💕

I meant to put this up on Earth Day, but I'm never on time for trends, so here we are! I made this last year as an homage to The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It's my favorite kids book of all time, which probably says a lot about me. But I loved the tree so much and kind of hated the boy for not appreciating her. Fun fact, when I was a kid, even if the tree needed to be cut, I would cry any time my dad took a tree down in our yard. Anyway, this painting is because I wish people would teach their children to love the trees and care for them the way they care for us. Made with the pages of a 100 year old book, glue, and acrylic paint. And a whole lot of love. IDK. Maybe I'm weird. I'll just go outside and hug a tree. 😘 #earthday #mixedmediaarts #trees
