Amy Zimmer’s background was primarily in alt comedy before taking on a leading role in Sophy Romvari’s tremendous new drama, BLUE HERON. In this week’s issue, she talks about the challenges of the role, but also what it shared with her previous work.
Watch the trailer for “Blue Heron,” the prize-winning feature debut from Canadian-Hungarian Filmmaker Sophy Romvari which is set in the late 1990s and follows eight-year-old Sasha and her family as they relocate to a new home on Vancouver Island. However, their fresh start is interrupted by increasingly dangerous behavior from the eldest son, Jeremy. At wit’s end, their parents are presented with a shattering choice.
