Here's another extract from my personal notebook "Protocoles et expérimentations autour de la lettre". This is a font I invented.

Here's an extract from my personal notebook "Protocoles et expérimentations autour de lettre". Each page contains a new way of experimenting with letters, a kind of laboratory.
🪞 "Réflexion d’un poète" is an edition of reflections on the relationship to the body, beauty and death that the poet Yukio Mishima evoked in various interviews.
To preserve the intimate aspect of his sentences, I chose to make the edition unreadable at first glance by writing the entire content backwards and using a protocol that forces the words to cut themselves.
The fact that the reader cannot understand the content forces him or her to focus solely on the interaction of the letters with each other and the shapes they generate when they are devoid of meaning.
So it's through the reflection of a mirror (iridescent paper) on the back of the book that Yukio's thoughts can be read, and this time the letters form words.
