Ādhāra was created during a production challenge in which over 250 members of Aedi were invited by @dorisburgbg to try one of his creative methods. The challenge was to build on an atmospheric stem provided by Dorisburg, then remove it and finalise the track. This method reframes unfinished projects as creative catalysts: a sparse atmosphere that sets a mood, or a low-end groove that pulls you straight into writing a lead, adding momentum before it is stripped away. All submissions were collected in an anonymous playlist and voted on by the entire community. The title and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.
