The iterative design process is essential for refining concepts through creating models, detailed renderings, and expressive sketches. This approach allows designers to test ideas, improve functionality, and enhance aesthetics. For instance, designers often use rapid prototyping to quickly visualize and evaluate different solutions. Studies show that iterative processes can significantly boost innovation and creativity by allowing room for experimentation and risk-taking. Through continuous feedback and refinement, designers can achieve more effective and innovative results.

We are thrilled to receive two design awards from @idesignawards for our work on Intuit Dome. The LA Clippers’ new home was awarded Gold in both architecture and interior design.
Intuit Dome’s architecture and design redefine the typology of arena buildings. The unique characteristics of the site, climate and program create a multidimensional experience that goes beyond a typical venue. Intuit Dome features numerous innovations including a halo scoreboard, an optimized seating bowl and frictionless concessions for an elevated fan experience. The digitally derived form has been tuned to the climate and site to support the project’s carbon neutrality aspirations. Community benefits include a large plaza with a public basketball court and a robust art program featuring local artists.
Congratulations to all involved in the ongoing success of this project, we are honored to receive this recognition!

Boston Logan International Airport’s new Terminal E is setting the standard for sustainability and resiliency. Our design team — working closely with Massport, @suffolkbuild and @luisvidalarchitects in a collaborative CM at Risk delivery model — was fully committed to charting a path to net zero. The terminal’s shape and orientation were intentionally designed to harvest daylight, manage solar gain and even generate power. The south-facing façade’s photovoltaic glass turns sunlight into electricity, electrochromic glass on the north side changes tints to reduce the sun’s glare, and skylights bathe the terminal in natural light – all of which will significantly reduce annual electricity costs and keep travelers comfortable as they move through the terminal. Our design and construction team emphasized the selection of recycled, low carbon and carbon negative materials to reduce the terminal’s carbon footprint when building and then operating the terminal — putting this project on track for prestigious LEED Gold certification.
