The final headliner of the 11th AE showdown is Max Cantrell (@max___________dj ). He is a Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and curator of the party series and label Tantra (@tantra_nyc ). One of the most promising young talents out of NYC, he has already showcased his prowess on the decks at Basement, Flux, and Steamroom, as well as Entriber Festival in Oslo. A prolific artist, he has released on labels such as Magdalena’s Apathy and Puppy Tapes. We’ve been following him for the past couple of years and are finally excited to bring him to AE. In our opinion, his sound has evolved from Copenhagen-inspired techno trance to a more mellow, intricate one, with a tone that has been a staple of the New York City scene for a long time. Unafraid of breaking the modern big room conventions, Max brings something truly authentic with his own tracks and carefully crafted selections. In this post, we have presented a bunch of highlights from his recent performances at XPIZZA and the Lot Radio. Max is playing Säule in February, so please come over this Saturday to test this fine fella out before his big debut. Final early birds are available on you-know-where (link in bio) Venue address: 912 N Watts St We’ll see you this Saturday!
