What a weekend 😮‍💨 Couldn’t have asked for a better Thursday. Started with a short visit to the club for @atreju_mensah ’s set with the two cuties in the photo (@japommes + @ttkhumandisguise ) and ended up with the warmest welcome back to the Wintergarten DJ Booth. I think this is actually the first time I’ve ever managed to take a photo in front of @sisyphosberlin 😝 Thank you for all the vibes, hugs, and smiles all around. I’m happy and excited to announce that @this_is_robert_owens is my special guest at my BDAY event this Saturday - 25/04 at ficken3000official! Robert Owens has been shaping house music since before it even had a name. A true Chicago House pioneer, his iconic voice is behind timeless classics like Tears, Bring Down The Walls, I’ll Be Your Friend, and Mine To Give. Robert is a unique artist - A producer, DJ, vocalist, and performer. He is a true icon, a living legend. With collaborations spanning legends such as Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard, Masters At Work, and Jamie Jones, and releases on labels such as Dekmantel and Ninja Tune, Robert continues to define the sound of house music. Blending DJing with powerful live vocals, his performances carry the soul, emotion, and message that made house what it is today. Next Saturday - 25/04 - I will celebrate my birthday and my welcoming party to Berlin at Ficken 3000! The lineup is absolutely amazing! I’m feeling grateful to have such an amazing roster of talented artists and DJs to play at my birthday event, It's not obvious at all - thank you all for accepting my request to play! Back before the Covid times @charlottebendiks @boruborusiade @victorkubin @maxcel_toriani and the mom of it all @mauro.feola did a run of editions as @berlinriot in a few venues around Berlin which some were the most fun parties I have been part of. Today we have a cute (smaller edition ) of a fun reunion @mauro.feola is on the opening , @charlottebendiks will be the main guest and I’ll try to remember how I closed @berlinriot like I did in the back then (mainly without shoes)! 10 years in Berlin, 5 in Paris , my collection is now coming to end I have been DJing since 2009 professionally and these records followed me wherever I went… But it’s time to say goodbye to them, you can find them in the good hands of @bikiniwaxxrecords I’m still gonna play just with less records (or with more new records I guess ) With that said I would like to say great thank you to @sisyphosberlin and @renate.berlin for this weekend ! As a co-founder of the queer collective RIOT and host of the Time Machine show on Refuge Worldwide, he’s deeply involved in pushing forward-thinking club sounds with a timeless feel. 2025 has started and it’s kinda nice tbh. Still everything is kinda a mess but happy to have my friends around me which is something that I found really important especially these days.
