(Holding Roses) This release was really fun to create. @uneakmusic had posted on his IG story one day, a clip of a piano arrangement he had written spontaneously when he was in the studio, I thought it was so beautiful, and it had alot of emotion in it. I took that clip and sample arranged it into what became the structure of the song and then wrote the lyrics’melody overtop and sent it back. I don’t think either of us expected it to become a whole song. Later we took it in the studio to revise, add, change, arrange and @uneakmusic worked his production magic as he always does. I kept seeing roses and snow and a little red riding hood figure that I wanted to capture for the video and vibe part of the song, we filmed out in MD. My husband filmed the music video(which you will see later, go Isaac!) and my mom drove us around to the different locations. The cover art you see is by @patrickdavidspatz of @beforeflags he is a mixed media collage artist and ambient musician. I gave him the vision for this track and he came up with the beautiful artwork you see. I want to say thank you to everyone who played a part in this track:

I wrote a song about realizing that something isn’t real, even though it seems like it is, it’s just an illusion or your brain lying to you. I think sometimes we think our thoughts are reality but they are not. we believe something because we feel a certain way, but feelings are not reality or truth. feelings can change and we don’t have to become what we feel either.
