Thank you @adrianustar for giving a more profound life to this song that has touched me since 2018. Yes, #breathe from #intheights by @lin_manuel has become my life soundtrack through its thickest or thinnest moment. However, when I (kinda?) vowed to NEVER sing musical on stage again in 2019 - because I felt like I'm too undertalented for it, compared to everyone else in the scene - I was worried I couldn't give this song the depth it should have served. . . . . So, I definitely believe that if it wasn't for Adrian, I couldn't do this. Yes, I've been an aspiring multidisciplinary artist (?) for a while. (I don't even feel confident to say it 😅🥲) Yet, to have someone do this with me feels like a blessing. Maybe, I don't need to be perfect. Maybe, it's about telling the stories within ourselves. Maybe, that's the true courage needed. Thus, here it is. May it serve you in all its honesty and imperfection. @adrianustar BIGGEST THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME WITH THIS! Also, thank you @unveilyoursoul.id for bringing me out of my self resentment artistic state. Last January, @litanyaudrey (half) jokingly said, "You need to be back on stage, seriously." It was as if I chose to forget how my closest friends have always said, "You are the happiest, and most fulfilled in your art, writing, and on stage, don't you? You shine there Don't let the cruel voices inside you convince otherwise." Well, I'll try, always. I have been doing art for at least 15 years now, ranging from scribbles, to a proper musical; from my humble stage in my tiny church, to a tiny stage in Amsterdam City. I don't know if I am made for art, or if I should already give up now. Somewhere inside me is still stubborn to hang on, even when my voices will always be overrun by younger or more flashy influencers. Even then, I hope, I will still have my story to tell. To everyone who has always been holding me gently, believing me when I do not believe in myself.
