In honor of my Wife’s birthday today, I’d like to call attention to my appreciation of the characteristics I’ve witnessed blossom over the years of dating and months of marriage: - Honesty: Even when I don’t want to hear it, you love me enough to tell me the truth about my stubborn ways. - Protective: You ride for our little family. And although the circumstances are never easy, your shoulders carry the weight and I see you. - Supportive: I’m always in a damn meeting but you hold down the home and I’m appreciative. - Team Player: I’ve learned marriages are about give and take. And when you have each other’s back, you will work together as a team to make things happen. And you be on your Jordan vybz and you always deliver in the clutch. - Trustworthy: There is nothing more comforting than knowing I am covered. This is how it went down. November 2022!! My forever date. We did the work and now we get to enjoy forever together. I was really self conscience in this video not happy with myself but knowing you accepted me in all my phases makes this all the more special!!!!

This Birthday hit different! Taking the time to reflect and as I look forward to the next 365 days, I’m praying that I never appear as though I have it all figured out but always reflecting on what it looks like to be carried graciously by a perfect God. Transparently, through all the blessings of this past year, I didn’t like the way I showed up in the world. And it was evident in the simplicity of a Spotify Wrap Up (slide 2) where I didn’t see my usual praise music ranked. To some, that maybe a “so what”… But for me it told me everything I needed to know - “You can’t do this alone A, and you may have forgot that.” That my friends is the beautiful part about life and this Birthday - It’s the season of Realignment… Everything ahead and the Higher Life I seek, is about me and God being locked in, and I’m thanking him in advance for all that’s he’s already done.
