Tokyo marathon! ✅ What an adventure, and what an experience to share with Tom and Ruby. From the delicious food to the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes Japan truly stole my heart. We made the most of our time, and now I'm looking forward to my next challenge - a @wmmajors race in Berlin, where I'll be running my 4th ⭐️ and 7th marathon. All for a cause close to my heart - @danafarber research. Without innovative research I wouldn't be here, and I'm grateful for every moment. I hope these funds can make a difference for other cancer patients, giving them more time and more life. #stageivbreastcancer
What an epic @chimarathon ! 🏃🏻♀️❤️✨
The Windy City had great weather, awesome crowds, and my sister @jenod31 and niece Maddie at the finish line ❤️ Certainly not a PR this round (not sure what happened but the legs were hurting from the start) but I had fun out there. @tommyk1215 and Ruby had the worst travel experience and didn’t make it in time for the race, but we made up for it afterwards. Deep dish pizza 🤤, museums and parks helped contribute to a solid recovery.
Days later I headed into Boston for a brain MRI, echocardiogram and CT scans. While these were routine, it still doesn’t mean I don’t get nervous. I brought my medal with me as a reminder that I can do hard things. 💪🏼
This week I got the results - all STABLE!✨ Went right after to the infusion chair for treatment. Stage IV cancer doesn’t stop, but neither do I 👀 The Tokyo marathon is up next, as I chase that @wmmajors six star medal 🏅
