The Moving Canvas Project is moving outside!
This weekend we will be running 2 workshops @purbeckfolk Festival. Come and join us for a bit of Doodle and Dance at 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday in the Healing Fields.
Here is what to expect:
Doodle and Dance
Join Us for a 1-Hour Family-Friendly Workshop!
Discover the joy of improvisational movement and the expressive power of mark-making—no dance or drawing experience needed!
What to Expect:
Step into a welcoming space where creativity flows. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our friendly hosts and invited to select from some plain paper or a cream-coloured garment to wear (over your clothes). As the music begins, let yourself be guided through a playful journey of movement and mark-making on paper or on the garments you wear. You will be guided through tasks that will make you move, draw, scribble, and doodle and explore the joy of improvised mark-making.
Session 1 on Saturday will lay the foundation of doodles and marks on the paper and garments, while Session 2 on Sunday will use these marks to develop movement and further doodling. Join us for either session—or both—to relax your mind, nourish your soul, and enjoy the freedom of creating lines, dots, and squiggles in harmony with your natural movement.
