#WorthMoreAlive Pangolins are one of the most trafficked mammals in the world, yet they play a vital role in our ecosystems, helping control termite populations and protect our forests.
And here in Zambia, we’re lucky to have 2 of the 8 species found in the world, the Ground pangolin and White-bellied Tree Pangolin. But their survival is under threat. The illegal wildlife trade continues to push them closer to
extinction, and in Zambia, the illegal possession of a pangolin can result in at least five years in prison.
That’s why something new is coming to the Worth More Alive campaign📌A powerful reminder that silence can cost a species its future.

✈️On a recent trip through Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, I came across something interesting and informative — life-size wildlife installations that stopped me in my
tracks.
They’re part of the Worth More Alive campaign, a collaborative effort between @wcpzambia , Department of National Parks and Wildlife, and @zambiaairports delivering a message we literally can’t afford to ignore.
Zambia’s wildlife isn’t just beautiful, it’s valuable. Elephants, pangolins, leopards, and more support our tourism industry, sustain livelihoods, and keep our ecosystems healthy.🇿🇲
But here’s the reality; wildlife crime is one of the biggest threats to these endangered species. And it doesn’t just harm animals; it impacts Zambia’s economy and future.
The good news? Every single one of us can play a role in protecting them. Staying alert, speaking up, and spreading awareness can help stop illegal wildlife trade before it’s too late.

I’ve travelled solo. I’ve travelled for work. I’ve travelled strategically.
But this trip reminded me of something important — group travel can actually reduce your costs significantly.
Flights? That’s personal. But accommodation? Split. Private drivers? Split. Airport transfers? Split. Villas with pools? Suddenly affordable.
